Another Byomkesh again – this time Rakter Daag! Key things to note – Anjan Dutt agrees to act in an Arindam Sil’s Byomkesh possibly indicating that he is giving up on his version of the franchise. Also Ritwick Chakraborty makes way for Rahul Banerjee to play Ajit, which is a further step down.

As much as the films of this franchise don’t cater to the cinematic sensibilities of many, they have blockbusters written all over them unfortunately. This one will be no different, especially timing it around Pujo!
