PahunaThe little visitors is a sweet little Nepalese language film directed by Paakhi A Tyrewala. The Sikkimese film is produced by Priyanka Chopra’s Purple Pebble Pictures, and tells a heart warming story of two young kids and their little baby brother on what happens to them as they flee their homes in Nepal and reach a small village in Sikkim all alone estranged from their parents.

Its an over simplified story of survival amidst all odds and it goes along towards closure with some easy and convenient resolutions including a predictable climax. But one still buys into all of it primarily due to the very natural and heartfelt performances of two young actors Ishika Gurung and Anmol Limboo playing the siblings Amrita and Pranay respectively. Their chemistry sizzles in their innocence and they make you believe that goodness finds a way with the right intent and effort. Feel their love and go back to your childhood – that is a win for Pahuna. Afterall, innocence is bliss!

Pahuna is now playing on Netflix. Do give it your time.
