2019 Emmy Nominations : It is a game alright!

So Emmy’s 2019 nominations are out, and even after the pretty disastrous final season of Game of Thrones, it still manages to secure a whopping 32 nominations!

Shocked to see Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke getting the best actor nods, some of the weakest episodes like The Long Night or The Last of the Starks getting best direction nods, and so many supporting actor nominations (Alfie Allen for this season? Really?) Almost feels like whoever submitted their nominations got picked up!

Excited to see all the nominations for Chernobyl (19 nominations) and hope it wins (hard luck Sharp Objects or When they see us)! And how wonderful it is to see the continued love for the marvelous Mrs. Maisel (20 nominations), and for me it is still an easy pick over the very enjoyable Fleabag or the interesting Russian Doll!
HBO earned 137 nominations overall including the 32 nominations for GOT, beating its own record for most noms for a network in a single year (it landed 126 in 2015). Netflix came in second with 117, NBC was in third with 58, followed by Amazon with 47 Emmy nominations.

September 22nd is when we will know who will walk away with the final awards.
