Kalank – Title Track

Listen to the much awaited Kalank Title Track here. Arijit Singh definitely adds a zing to the song, but may be more of dard was expected. Also there seems to be some rehash from earlier Pritam compositions. Plus 1940s? Really?

The picturization is somewhat better than the previous released songs, but still does not create a wow! There is a lack of authenticity in the entire setup. Aditya Roy Kapoor is the only show stealer with his few seconds in the song.

Hope it grows somewhat with time – more than the first impression created!

Kalank releases on April 17th

#ApnaTimeAayega – Bollywood Anthem of 2019

Ab hauslay se jeene de
Ab khauf nahin hai seenay mein
Har raastay ko cheerengay
Hum kaamyaabi chheenengay
Sab kuch mila paseenay se
Matlab bana ab jeene mein

Kyon?

Kyonki apna time aayega,
Tu nanga hi toh aaya hai kya ghanta le kar jaayega.

Tomar Pasher Desh – Is deeply evocative!

Whatever little has been witnessed of Bijoya so far has given equally intense vibes of Bisorjon if not more. We await with baited breath to know more about the intriguing dynamics of Padma, Ganesh and Naseer, hoping to equally savor this journey of theirs.

Tomar Pasher Desh‘ has only added to that excitement. While the other songs of Bijoya have the beautiful rustic and earthy fragrance of Dohar, Tomar Pasher Desh is all about poetic depth and intense emotions beautifully put to tune by Indraadip Das Gupta and penned by Kaushik Ganguly himself. We will have to watch and see what limits of cinematic brilliance does Bijoya push, but Arijit Singh has clearly pushed himself to the realms of musical excellence and calm intensity with this one and has certainly gifted us one of his best songs to us. It has been permanently added to the playlist now.

Expecting the same from Kaushik Ganguly this weekend.

Kichchu Chaini Aami – A beautiful love ballad!

Kichchu Chaini Aami is a beautiful love ballad composed by Prasen and written by Dipangshu, and rendered with all soul by the multi talented Anirban Bhattacharya. The picturization of the video released ooses intensity and aesthetics in every frame!

Mere Naam Tu – Is far from Zero

A beautiful song! Great composition by Ajay Atul (yes there is a Yaad lagla hangover!), beautifully penned by Irshad Kamil, and lovely vocals by Abhay Jodhapurkar.

I didn’t like the video version of the song, I found it too extravagant and overwhelming, the colors hurt the eyes, and the very busy picturization almost pulls down the romanticism of the lovely song, hence it is the audio version that I will stick to.

Kedarnath – Musically greeting!

A film that is demanding to be watched at the big screen, far more than the ones with the big stars! India is so breathtakingly beautiful! Amit Trivedi scores again!

Tu Hi Aham – is sort of divine

Another gem from Sui Dhaaga after the delectable ‘Chaav Laaga‘.. Its rare for songs these days to work so brilliantly on melody, with deep meaningful words!

Thank you Anu Malik, Varun Grover !!

And Ronkini Gupta – your voice texture and the feel it generates is love ❤️

Waking up to Chonch Ladhiyaan

The song that is slowly growing on me, and has been on loop for days now…

I am indeed waking up to Manmarziyaan

Chaav Laaga – for sure!

A beautiful beautiful track! Back to basics, where soothing melody rules without the need of trying hard to be quirky or anything! This has gone into my playlist right away! One of the best songs of the year!

Zingaat always works!

Because Zingaat always works!
I am not sure if Dhadak will work or not, but I am hopeful about that boy Ishaan Khattar, he has a raw charm that wins you over. Will watch and find out what Shashank Khaitan has to offer this time – the goodness of Humpty Sharma or the disappointment of Badrinath!
